Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Albuquerque, NM 87109

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30), with option for 36 or 48 hours per week. 4-6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period. Patient ratio of 2:1.

Highlights:

13-week travel assignment in a busy Labor and Delivery unit with 15 beds and 100-200 births per month
First-time travelers welcome; 3 years of experience preferred
Comprehensive orientation provided with 36 hours of onboarding
Scrubs provided by the facility
Flexible scheduling options with 36 or 48-hour work weeks available
Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse license (New Mexico or Compact state license; pending licenses accepted if obtained prior to start date)
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications acceptable)
Experience with antepartum care, assisting with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and recovering post-cesarean patients
Proficiency with external fetal monitoring (EFM), triage of obstetrical patients, and sterile vaginal exams
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility location
