Job Opportunity – Cook – Alliance, NE 69301

Start Date: September 15, 2026

Location: Alliance, Nebraska

Schedule: Variable 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, 40 guaranteed hours per week. Work hours may vary based on organizational needs. Assignment duration through December 12, 2026 (88 days).

Highlights:

• Prepare and serve meals for patients, staff, cafeteria services, catering functions, and Meals on Wheels program
• Responsible for preparation and delivery of regular and therapeutic diets to patients
• Work in a healthcare setting preparing palatable, safe, and attractive food presentations
• Multitask across multiple service areas including patient care, cafeteria operations, and special events
• Share responsibility for maintaining departmental sanitation standards

Requirements:

• Must be 19 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• ServSafe Manager Certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire if not already certified)
• Healthcare food preparation experience preferred
• Training in preparation of therapeutic diets preferred
• Special function cooking experience preferred
• Reliable personal transportation required (rideshare services not available in this area)
• Must pass comprehensive background checks, drug screening, and health requirements
