Job Opportunity – Certified OB Tech – Portland, OR 97225

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend required, block scheduling required, 1:1 patient ratios

Highlights:

13-week travel assignment at a 536-bed short-term acute care teaching facility
Specialized OB Tech role supporting labor and delivery, cesarean sections, and related surgical procedures
Daily census of 11 patients across 20 available rooms
Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams
Epic charting system with 36-40 hours of orientation provided
No on-call required, no floating between units

Requirements:

NBSTSA certification required (Certified Surgical Technologist)
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of experience as a surgical technologist
Valid state or compact license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
Proficiency in aseptic technique, labor and delivery procedures, equipment documentation, isolation precautions/PPE, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling, and universal protocol
Epic charting experience preferred
Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
