Description
Job Opportunity – Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Eureka, CA 95501
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Eureka, California
Schedule: Day shift, Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts). Call coverage required; manager will discuss details. Weekend call only. 13-week assignment ending January 4, 2027.
Highlights:
- Reduced non-billable orientation: 0 hours versus standard 40-hour orientation
- Work with advanced imaging technology including PET scans and Siemens equipment
- Perform diverse nuclear medicine procedures including 3-phase studies, HIDA scans, gastric emptying, and ventilation/perfusion scans
- Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- May float to outpatient department located nearby
Requirements:
- Valid California state license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification required; CNMT certification also accepted
- Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience; at least 1 year required
- Proficiency in IV starts and maintenance
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and proper storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Clean background check required
