Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse ICU – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: October 21, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend required. 2:1 patient ratio. 12-week assignment with 12-hour orientation.

Highlights:

• Mixed ICU/CVICU unit with cardiac patient population, managing 6-10 cardiovascular cases per month
• 16-bed unit with daily census of 13 patients, serving adult and geriatric populations
• Advanced critical care experience including ventilator management, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and open heart recovery
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• First-time travelers welcome with 2 years of ICU experience
• Opportunity to work with complex patient diagnoses including ARDS, CABG, STEMI/NSTEMI, AKI, and DKA

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required in hand at submission
• Experience managing ventilated patients and titrating multiple drips simultaneously
• 2:1 patient ratio experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Willingness to float to like units within scope as needed
