Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Fullerton, CA 92835

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Orange County, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Patient ratio 1:2. Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend but may exceed based on unit needs. Must be available to work 3 of 5 major holidays.

Highlights:

• 320-bed acute care hospital with a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit averaging 6-8 deliveries per day
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Diverse patient population including labor, induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, and high-risk antepartum cases
• May float to Mother Baby unit to meet facility needs
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience level

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required; 2 years preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (required - hardstop), BLS, and NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Expert-level competency performing sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision (required - hardstop)
• Triage experience required (hardstop)
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring, high-risk deliveries, C-section circulation/recovery, postpartum care, and newborn assessment
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
