Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with 36 or 48-hour weekly options available. Weekend coverage required (approximately half of weekends per contract). Patient ratio of 4:1. Orientation includes 24 hours onsite.

Highlights:

  • Level I Trauma Center experience with 36-bed Emergency Department serving approximately 105 visits daily
  • Comprehensive patient population including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
  • Epic charting system with full interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • 91-day assignment with competitive travel nursing compensation
  • Advanced emergency care environment treating complex trauma, stroke, STEMI, and critical care patients

Requirements:

  • Current Texas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
  • Charge nurse experience and community hospital experience preferred
  • Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, blood product administration, IV vasopressors, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, procedural sedation, and triage
  • Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Geographic restrictions apply; candidates residing in certain local counties are not eligible
