Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Spokane, WA 99204

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend shifts required. Patient ratios: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3. Floating between units may be required. 48-hour weeks approved.

Highlights:

13-week travel assignment at a 629-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital with Level II Trauma and Pediatric Trauma Center designations
High-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with approximately 3,600 deliveries annually, including high-risk maternal-fetal medicine patients
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
Epic charting system with 40 hours of orientation provided

Opportunity to work with advanced procedures including insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, cerclages, versions, and cardiac patients

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and NRP
Epic charting system experience required
Experience with high-risk Labor and Delivery, including antepartum care, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, active labor management, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
Proficiency in comprehensive L&D skills including cesarean sections, neonatal resuscitation, hemorrhage management, and fetal monitoring
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
