Description
Job Opportunity – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – NICU – Richland, WA 99352
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Richland, Washington
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts available on both day (07:00 - 19:00) and night (19:00 - 07:00) rotations. Every other weekend required per collective bargaining agreement. Variable shift assignment with schedule typically confirmed one to two weeks in advance. 13-week assignment through January 4, 2027.
Highlights:
- Work in a Level III/IV NICU environment at a 337-bed regional medical center with a daily census of approximately 300 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Reduced orientation period with 40 hours of non-billable orientation
- Opportunity to work with advanced neonatal equipment including highly preferred Bunnell Jet Ventilation systems
- Flexibility to float internally between departments with exposure to both NICU and Level 2 Adult ICU settings
- One pre-approved time off period available during contract
Requirements:
- Active Washington State Respiratory Therapy license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) and CRT certifications required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS (or ENPC)
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience with at least 1 year required
- Level III or IV NICU experience required (hardstop requirement)
- Level 2 Adult ICU experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
