Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Issaquah, WA 98029
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Issaquah, Washington
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), 13-week assignment
Highlights:
- Work in a Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department with 28 rooms serving adult and pediatric populations
- Comprehensive patient care including ED holding, triage, and urgent care for emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions
- Diverse case mix including chest pain, shortness of breath, injuries, and abdominal pain (approximately 20% pediatric patients)
- Utilize advanced skills including chest tube management, RSI drugs, cardioversion/defibrillation, LVAD/Impella, and rapid infuser protocols
- Opportunity to work with all age groups from infants to geriatrics in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Holiday commitment required: must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Level II Trauma Center experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Proficiency in chest tubes, TPA administration, breathing treatments, trach care, RSI drugs, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, LVAD/Impella, 12-lead EKG, and rapid infuser
- Strong skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, continuous IV sedation, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, IV starts, and triage
- Experience with critical drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Levophed, Nitroglycerin, Propofol, Amiodarone, and other emergency medications
- Clean background check required (no exceptions)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
