Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, IV Therapy / Vascular Access – Portland, OR 97213

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required. No on-call. Patient ratio 1:1. Assignment duration is 91 days (approximately 13 weeks).

Highlights:

• Join a specialized IV Therapy and Vascular Access Team at a 418-bed short-term acute care facility
• Focus on ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement with approximately 15 patient visits per shift
• Night shift does not require PICC placement experience; PICC skills are not needed for this role
• Work independently as the sole clinician during night shift with comprehensive interdisciplinary support available
• Serve diverse patient populations including neonates, adults, and geriatrics
• 24-hour orientation provided with Epic charting system

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of vascular access or IV therapy experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS certification current and valid
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Strong skills in vascular access, ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access, central line management, and aseptic technique
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
