Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Spokane, WA 99208

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Every other weekend required. Block scheduling required. Patient ratio 1:4 on nights. 91-day assignment through January 4, 2027.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit position at a Short Term Acute Care facility with Level III Trauma Center designation
• 42-bed unit with daily census of approximately 35 patients, caring for adult patient population
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
• Treat diverse patient diagnoses including congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, acute respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, ETOH withdrawal, and DKA
• 24-hour orientation provided with scrubs in any color permitted
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 3-4 patients
• Proficiency in PCU/stepdown nursing, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management and titration, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to float between units as needed to meet operational requirements
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
