Description
Job Opportunity – Mammography Technologist – Portland, OR 97225
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Portland, Oregon
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:00) or 4x10-hour shifts with Fridays off. No weekends, no call, no floating required. 13-week assignment through January 11, 2027.
Highlights:
- Work in a 536-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital with 5 mammography rooms
- Focus on general imaging only: screening mammography (tomosynthesis and 2D), diagnostic mammograms, and additional views
- Utilize Hologic equipment including 3D technology with on-site radiologist support
- Epic charting system experience required
- No biopsies, localizations, or contrast-enhanced procedures required for this role
- Reduced non-billable orientation: 0 hours versus standard 40 hours
Requirements:
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications required
- BLS certification current
- Valid Oregon state license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience required
- Previous travel experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 3-D mammography, digital mammography, screening and diagnostic mammograms, Hologic systems, and PACS
- Must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
