Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Albuquerque, NM 87109

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Patient ratio of 1:4-5 based on acuity (ESI 3-5). Minimum of 3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Float to medical-surgical and ICU units as needed (4 patients in ICU/IMC).

Highlights:

• Community-based Emergency Department serving all age groups from neonates through geriatrics
• Approximately 80 visits per day with 18 rooms and 20 beds
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and radiology
• Experience with diverse patient diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, respiratory, minor trauma, OB/GYN, and initial stabilization for major trauma, strokes, and STEMIs prior to transfer
• Exposure to advanced procedures including chest tubes, central lines, RSI, procedural sedation, and ultrasound-guided IVs
• 13-week travel assignment with orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact license accepted; must be obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
• Previous charge experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS, TNCC, NRP/ENPC, STABLE
• Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
