Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks available.

State-of-the-art unit featuring 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms with an average of 7 deliveries daily
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
Epic charting system with 40 hours of paid orientation to ensure a smooth transition
Opportunity for charge nurse training and professional development in a teaching environment
Free parking and scrubs provided

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission, but license must be in hand for final offer)
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, and NRP
Epic charting system experience required
Charge nurse experience preferred or willingness to train for charge responsibilities
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
Flexibility to float to similar units as needed
