Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with options for 4x12 schedules. Every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period.

Highlights:

High-volume, high-risk Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma facility recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
Comprehensive unit with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
Average 7 daily deliveries with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
Opportunity to develop or utilize charge nurse skills with training available
13 or 26-week assignment lengths available with first-time travelers welcome
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission but must be in hand for final offer)
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, and NRP
Epic charting system experience required
Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge nurse
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Ability to float to similar units as needed
