Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 beds
• Comprehensive perinatal services including 4 operating rooms for cesarean sections and high-risk deliveries
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Opportunity to function as Baby Nurse during deliveries and provide complete newborn care through transfer to postpartum
• Six-month travel assignment with 40 hours of orientation and competitive compensation package
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required; must be comfortable in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic electronic charting system experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring experience required
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (required skill)
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse including newborn assessments, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K injections (required skill)
• Experience with high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Mother/Baby care
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
