Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and average daily census of 15 patients
• 31-bed unit with 4 operating rooms supporting diverse patient populations including midwifery clients, private OBs, and Adult Recovery Services
• Comprehensive newborn care responsibilities including functioning as Baby Nurse during delivery, performing newborn assessments, and administering eyes and Vitamin K injections
• Required to circulate for cesarean sections and provide care for high-risk, fast-paced deliveries
• Floating required to Postpartum/Antepartum units and potentially to sister facilities for Mother/Baby care
• Six-month travel assignment with 40 hours of orientation and interdisciplinary support including interpretation services

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk Labor and Delivery experience required; ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience with circulating for C-sections and providing comprehensive newborn care (hard stop requirement)
• Proficiency with medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• First-time travelers accepted
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
