Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 private rooms
• Comprehensive maternal care including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• 4 operating rooms supporting all types of high-risk deliveries and cesarean sections
• Diverse patient population with interpretation services and community care clinic partnerships
• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines with emphasis on experienced, skilled nursing care
• 13-week assignment with 36-40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or valid Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required; must be comfortable in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting system experience and electronic fetal monitoring proficiency required
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery, providing complete newborn care including assessments, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K injections
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
• Experience with high-risk procedures including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and heparin administration
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and sister facilities as needed
• Two professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
