Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 labor rooms
• Comprehensive perinatal services including 4 operating rooms for cesarean sections and complex deliveries
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Function as Baby Nurse during deliveries, providing complete newborn care including assessments, vitamin K injections, and eye prophylaxis
• Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with high-risk deliveries in a fast-paced environment
• Six-month assignment with 40 hours of orientation and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including interpretation services

Requirements:

• Active Washington State RN license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• High-risk obstetrical experience required; ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic electronic charting system experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring experience required
• Must be proficient in Baby Nurse role including newborn care, assessments, and medication administration (hard stop requirement)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (hard stop requirement)
• Experience with high-volume facilities (200+ deliveries per month) preferred
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities as needed
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
