Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 beds
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• 4 operating rooms supporting all types of deliveries in a fast-paced environment
• Comprehensive newborn care responsibilities including functioning as Baby Nurse during delivery and continuing care until transfer to postpartum
• Interdisciplinary support with interpretation services available
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required; must be able to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Epic electronic charting system experience required (hard stop)
• Electronic fetal monitoring proficiency required
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections (hard stop requirement)
• Must be able to provide complete newborn care including eyes and Vitamin K injections, assessments (hard stop requirement)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Experience with heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate drips
• Willingness to float to Postpartum/Antepartum units and potentially to sister facilities for Mother/Baby care
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
