Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. 36-40 hours orientation provided.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ deliveries per month
• 31-bed unit with 4 operating rooms serving diverse patient populations including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services
• Comprehensive care environment following AWHONN staffing guidelines with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Opportunity to work with high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced teaching environment
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
• 26-week assignment with potential for time off requests considered on a case-by-case basis

Requirements:

• Active Washington state RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic electronic charting experience required (hard stop); electronic fetal monitoring experience essential
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum (hard stop requirement)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (hard stop requirement)
• Proficiency in newborn assessments, Vitamin K and eye prophylaxis administration, and care of high-acuity patients
• Experience with magnesium sulfate, heparin, and insulin drips required
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Mother/Baby care
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
