Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Spokane, WA 99204

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required. 13-week assignment with 91 days duration. Patient ratios of 1:3-4. May float to telemetry or medical-surgical units when overstaffed.

Highlights:

• Work in a 629-bed short-term acute care facility with Level II Trauma Center designation
• 42-bed progressive care unit serving adult and geriatric populations with cardiac and medical-surgical diagnoses
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Teaching hospital environment with free parking provided
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays; candidates may choose either Thanksgiving or Christmas but not both

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care unit or stepdown nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required (hardstop requirement)
• Demonstrated ability to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips (hardstop requirement)
• Experience with cardiac drip titration, telemetry monitoring, and patient ratios of 4-5 patients
• Proficiency in blood product administration, central line management, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Candidates located within 50 miles considered local
