Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, NICU – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Patient ratio 2:1. Block scheduling available upon request. Intermittent weekend coverage required with flexibility to accommodate schedule preferences. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

• Level III/IV NICU with 77 beds and average census of 50 patients caring for neonates as young as 23-24 weeks gestation
• Comprehensive critical care experience including high-frequency ventilators, oscillators, CPAP/BiPap, therapeutic hypothermia, and PICC/central line management
• Attend high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries; dedicated admit nurse typically handles admissions
• Minimal floating required due to high unit demand; occasional float to sister campuses or pediatrics (newborns/infants only)
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system preferred; 24-40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required; must have at least 3 years in Level III NICU or 2 years in Level IV NICU
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience with administration of blood products, ventilator management, neonatal dosage calculations, feeding tubes, and central line care
• Proficiency with neonates 29+ weeks gestation and therapeutic procedures including cooling blankets and cardioversion/defibrillation
• Must be willing to float to nearby campuses as needed
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
