Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Gun Barrel City, TX 75156

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Gun Barrel City, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Flexible 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Patient ratios: 3:1 days, 4:1 nights.

Highlights:

• 8-week travel assignment in a community hospital emergency department setting
• Combined adult and pediatric emergency care with all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• 11-bed emergency department with approximately 65 visits per day
• Epic charting system with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, and radiology
• 12-hour orientation provided with one pre-approved time off period available
• STEMI and Stroke Certified facility experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Texas or Compact state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Proficiency in emergency nursing skills including IV management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and procedural sedation
• Must complete onboarding requirements within 48 hours of contract signing
