Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, NICU – Edmonds, WA 98026

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Edmonds, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). 13-week assignment through January 18, 2027. Floating to other units as needed. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

  • Level II Special Care Nursery caring for infants 32 weeks gestation or greater
  • Attend vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
  • Work with CPAP/BiPap, feeding tubes, syringe pumps, and ventilator management
  • Normal newborn care and Level II NICU admissions
  • NICU travel nurses are not expected to care for mother-baby couplets unless already competent in this area
  • Compact license accepted for Washington state

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Experience with neonatal dosage calculations, feeding management (bottle, breast, gavage), and placement/management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes
  • Ventilator management experience (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Clean background check required
