Job Opportunity – Certified Surgical Technologist – Portland, OR 97213

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). On-call requirements include 16 hours of weekday call every 4 weeks and 24 hours of weekend call every 4 weeks. Weekend shifts required as needed for departmental coverage. 13-week assignment.

Highlights:

• Work in a 418-bed short-term acute care facility with a state-of-the-art 21-room operating suite
• Gain experience across diverse adult surgical specialties including bariatrics, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, gynecology, colorectal, urology, plastics, vascular, thoracic, and endovascular procedures
• Focus on advanced oncology surgical cases with exposure to complex procedures and cutting-edge technology
• Utilize Epic charting system and Da Vinci Robotic Systems (XI & SI)
• Trauma Level I experience preferred; excellent opportunity for professional growth
• Scrubs provided for OR staff; free parking available

Requirements:

• Active surgical technologist certification (NBSTSA or ASATT required)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technology experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Preferred: 2 years of endovascular experience and Trauma Level I background
• Broad knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation across multiple specialties
• Must be located outside 50-mile local radius
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
