Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:00). Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Floating may be required to meet facility needs within scope of practice.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours of paid orientation
• Care for a culturally diverse, high-risk obstetric population with approximately 15-20 daily census
• 11 rooms and 15 beds; approximately 20 patient visits per day
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections and provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Postpartum experience preferred; first-time travelers welcome
• Interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting system experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 1:3
• Proficiency in labor and delivery skills including fetal monitoring, cesarean section circulation, vaginal delivery assistance, postpartum care, newborn assessment, and breastfeeding support
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Clean background check required (no exceptions for background findings)
