Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Fullerton, CA 92835

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Fullerton, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend but may exceed to meet unit needs. Patient ratio 1:2. Assignment duration is 13 weeks.

Highlights:

• Work in a 320-bed acute care hospital with a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit
• Comprehensive patient care including labor, induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, and high-risk antepartum cases
• Collaborative interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Free parking available for staff
• May float to Mother Baby unit as needed
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience and certifications

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; 2 years preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (required - hardstop), BLS, and NRP
• Epic charting system experience required
• Expert-level proficiency in sterile vaginal exams and triage (must be able to perform independently without supervision)
• Comprehensive L&D skills including fetal monitoring, C-section circulation and recovery, postpartum hemorrhage management, and newborn assessment
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Clean background check required
