Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Athens, TX 75751

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Athens, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Patient ratio of 1:2 in a 10-bed intensive care unit with an average daily census of 8 patients.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a progressive intensive care environment
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
• Epic charting system utilized for electronic medical records
• Manageable patient ratios with consistent 1:2 staffing
• 24-36 hour orientation period to ensure successful onboarding
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations with diverse critical care needs

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license or compact license (must be in hand at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; TNCC preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, central line care, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• Geographic restrictions apply; candidates residing in certain local counties are not eligible
