Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Amarillo, TX 79106

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Amarillo, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Flexible scheduling options available for 36 or 48 hours per week. Patient ratio 1:6.

13-week travel assignment on a Medical Surgical unit with adult and geriatric patient populations

Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
Manageable 10-bed unit with an average daily census of 8 patients
Float to units of equal or lesser acuity only
One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

Active RN license (state or compact) required at time of submission
Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience required
Recent Epic charting experience (within 6 months) required
Current BLS certification required
Experience with 1:6 patient ratios required
Must reside outside 50-mile radius from the area
Skills required: Isolation Precautions/PPE, Med/Surg, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Peripheral Line Care/Management
