Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – Spokane, WA 99204

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Spokane, Washington

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Every other weekend required. Floating between units as needed to meet staffing needs. Patient ratio 1:4. 13-week assignment (91 days).

Highlights:

Work in a 629-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital with Level II Trauma and Pediatric Trauma designations
Designated stroke unit with Thrombectomy Capable JCAHO designation and Spine Center of Excellence
NAEC Level 3 Epilepsy Center with specialized neuroscience care
Daily census of 48 patients across 64 beds with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including interpretation services
Epic charting system with 36-40 hours of paid orientation
Free parking provided

Requirements:

Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
Minimum 1 year of neurology RN experience required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Epic charting system experience required
Proficiency with NIH stroke scale and post-surgical neurology patient care
Experience with various neurology diagnoses including CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, craniotomy, and pre/post neurosurgery care
Skills in telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, and procedural sedation
Patient ratio experience with 4-5 patients
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
