Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks available.

Highlights:

High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated facility with Level II Trauma designation
Comprehensive unit featuring 10 OB Triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
Average of 7 deliveries daily with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
Charge experience preferred or training provided for charge responsibilities
Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
Epic charting system with comprehensive orientation provided

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission but must be in hand for offer)
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
Epic charting experience required
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
Ability to float to similar units as needed
