Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Operating Room – Portland, OR 97225

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend coverage required once per month (Saturday 0600 - Monday 0600). On-call required for responding to cardiac emergencies in both scrub and circulator roles. Contract duration of 12 weeks.

• 1:1 patient ratios providing focused, high-quality cardiovascular surgical care
• Opportunity to work with advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, valve replacements, MAZE procedures, and ventricular assist devices
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and interpretation services
• May have opportunities to work at multiple facilities within the health system based on operational needs

Requirements:

• Active Oregon RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR nursing experience required
• Cardiac scrub experience is a mandatory requirement
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:1 patient ratios
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis with strong cardiac scrub backgrounds
• Proficiency in cardiovascular procedures including CABG, valve replacements, IABP, ventricular assist devices, and hybrid OR procedures
• Must have reliable vehicle transportation for this assignment
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Ability to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
