Description
Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Medford, OR 97504
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Medford, Oregon
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required. On-call for low census only. May be required to float between units based on facility needs.
Highlights:
- 8-bed LDRP unit providing Level 1 maternity and newborn care for patients 36 weeks gestation and above
- Full spectrum care including triage, antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, nursery, and post-surgical GYN patients
- 108-bed short-term acute care facility with Epic charting system
- Two designated operating rooms for cesarean sections with surgical tech support
- Daily census of approximately 4 patients with AWHONN-recommended patient ratios
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience; at least 1 year required
- BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
- AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certifications preferred
- Required skills: cesarean section, circulating for C-section, LDRP, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, external and internal fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Preferred skills: Level I Nursery, spiral electrode placement
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
