Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Petaluma, CA 94954

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Petaluma, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30). Float coverage between inpatient and outpatient settings. May include weekend coverage as the sole therapist on duty.

Highlights:

• Six-month travel assignment (182 days) in the beautiful Petaluma area
• Mixed caseload with inpatient acute care (primarily med-surg/hospitalist referrals) and outpatient services
• Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
• Epic charting system experience utilized
• 40 hours of paid orientation to ensure smooth onboarding

Requirements:

• Valid California state Physical Therapy license (Compact license must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of PT experience required; at least 1 year in acute care settings
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings with adult populations preferred
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
• Must provide 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to float to nearby facilities if needed
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
