Description
Job Opportunity – Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU) – Springfield, MA, 01199
Start Date: September 7, 2026
Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 guaranteed hours per week. 48-hour contracts available.
Highlights:
- ICU float position with rotation through Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC units
- 32-bed Medical Intensive Care and Neuro Critical Care unit with strong staffing support
- Patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 based on acuity requirements
- Diverse case mix including sepsis, ESRD/AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure
- 91-day assignment with competitive compensation including overtime, charge, and holiday differentials
- Must reside outside of 90-mile radius from the facility
Requirements:
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications through American Heart Association
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Level 1 ICU, or 2 years preferred in MICU setting
- Strong ICU background with solid clinical experience beyond new graduate status
- Agency must hold valid Massachusetts staffing license
