Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical – St Johnsbury, VT 05819

Start Date: October 28, 2026

Location: Northeastern Vermont, rural setting in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom

Schedule: Flex day/night rotation, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 guaranteed hours per week

Highlights:

• Work in a 25-bed independent critical access hospital with a diverse patient population
• Primarily adult medical-surgical patients with occasional pediatric cases
• Opportunity to serve as Charge RN and potentially act as Preceptor
• Broad scope of practice including medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric care
• Collaborative and supportive nursing team in a close-knit community environment
• Located in Vermont's breathtaking Northeast Kingdom with year-round outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, and fishing

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care RN experience required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN License
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS (American Heart Association) required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required with no exceptions
• Dependable personal vehicle required due to rural location with no public transportation
