Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care – Springfield, MA, 01199

Start Date: September 7, 2026

Location: Springfield, Massachusetts

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 guaranteed hours per week. This is a 91-day travel assignment ending December 7, 2026.

Highlights:

• Work in a 42-bed Medical Intermediate Care Unit with both medical-telemetry and medical step-down patients
• Expected nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 for intermediate care, 1:6 for medical patients
• Gain experience with complex cases including pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and more
• Opportunity to work with advanced equipment including trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, BiPaP, and telemetry
• Competitive pay with overtime after 40 hours per week and enhanced holiday rates
• Three positions available for this assignment

Requirements:

• Active Massachusetts RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Experience with trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, BiPaP, and telemetry monitoring required
• Must reside outside of a 90-mile radius from the facility
• Ability to float to other units as needed and work both medical-telemetry and intermediate care sides of the unit
