Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care – Springfield, MA, 01199
Start Date: September 7, 2026
Location: Springfield, Massachusetts
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 guaranteed hours per week. Four positions available for a 91-day assignment ending December 7, 2026.
Highlights:
- Work in a 42-bed Medical Intermediate Care Unit with both medical-telemetry and medical step-down patient populations
- Expected nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 for intermediate care, 1:6 for medical patients
- Gain experience with complex cases including pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and more
- Hands-on experience with advanced respiratory support including trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, and BiPaP
- Opportunity to work with cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring in a dynamic acute care environment
- Competitive compensation with overtime, charge differential, and holiday pay available
Requirements:
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience with trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, BiPaP, and telemetry monitoring
- Must reside outside of a 90-mile radius from the facility
- Agency must hold valid Massachusetts Placement Agency License and Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License
