Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical – Murphysboro, IL 62966

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Southern Illinois

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Every other weekend and every other holiday required. No on-call responsibilities. Assignment duration is 91 days (approximately 13 weeks).

Highlights:

• Work in a blended medical-surgical unit with a thriving Swing Bed Program and occasional progressive care patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 for Med-Surg, 1:5-6 for Swing Bed, 1:3-4 for PCU (based on acuity)
• Assignments balanced based on nursing workload and patient acuity; supervisors provide excellent support with assignments

Requirements:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• ACLS certification required
• Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred; progressive care experience is a plus but not required
