Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Northern California coastal region

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:00), 91-day assignment. Weekend requirement of 3 out of 6 weekends. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). 40 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:

• Level 3 trauma center with Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) designation
• 20 rooms with 26 beds, average daily census of 105 patients, approximately 135 visits per day
• 4:1 patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and lift teams
• Epic charting system with full support services available
• Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Float coverage includes Observation Unit for ER hold patients

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and ENPC required
• TNCC certification preferred (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
• Experience with patient ratios of 4:1 and Epic charting system
• Proficiency in emergency medications, trauma care, procedural sedation, IV management, blood product administration, and ventilated patient care
• Two professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
