Description
Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist – Anchorage, AK 99508
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30), 70 guaranteed hours per two-week period. On-call and weekend call coverage required. Assignment duration: 13 weeks (91 days).
Highlights:
- Work at a Magnet-designated, 407-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center
- Gain experience with advanced cardiovascular procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, VAD, and ECMO
- Utilize Epic charting system in a state-of-the-art cardiovascular operating room environment
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team at Alaska's premier healthcare facility
- Free parking and scrubs provided
- First-time travelers welcome with at least one year of experience
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of CVOR technologist experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- NCCT or NBSTSA certification preferred
- Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma and community hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in cardiovascular surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, endovascular procedures, and robotic-assisted cardiac surgery
- Valid state license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
