Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse ICU – Napa, CA 94558

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Napa, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), weekend coverage required. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Highlights:

  • 13-week travel assignment in beautiful Napa Valley wine country
  • Comprehensive ICU experience with 2:1 patient ratios across all shifts
  • 20-bed unit with daily census of 10 patients, caring for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Extensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
  • Advanced critical care experience with specialized equipment including CRRT (Prismaflex), EVD, IABP, and Impella
  • 12-hour orientation period with Epic charting system (preferred experience)

Requirements:

  • Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • Experience with 2:1 patient ratios
  • Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilated patient care, cardiovascular intensive care, neuro ICU, medical/surgical ICU, and infection prevention protocols
  • Preferred skills: CVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol, ICP monitoring, post-craniotomy care, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury management
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Clean background check required
