Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Charge – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: November 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period. This is a 13 or 26-week travel assignment.

Highlights:

Charge Nurse position in a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma facility
High-volume unit with an average of 7 deliveries daily, up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
State-of-the-art unit featuring 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms with Epic charting system
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
Opportunity to work in Alaska's premier healthcare facility with free parking and scrubs provided
First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 1 year of experience

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission, but license must be in hand for offer)
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
Charge Nurse experience required or willingness to train in the charge role
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
Epic charting system experience required
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
