Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x10 day shifts; shift times vary between 06:45-19:15 or 09:00-21:30. Weekend coverage required. Limited call coverage for call-offs only. 60 guaranteed hours per 2-week period.

Highlights:

13-week travel assignment at a 407-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center
Work with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci Xi Robot, Mazor Robotic Spine System, and Stealth navigation
Diverse case mix including trauma, orthopedic/spine, neuro, bariatric, vascular, gynecology, ENT, and pediatric procedures
Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including lift teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services
18 operating rooms with an average daily census of 40 cases across multiple specialties
Free parking and scrubs provided

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license required (pending licenses accepted for submission but must be in hand for final offer)
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
Epic charting system experience required
Previous travel experience preferred; first-time travelers not accepted
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
Availability to float to similar units within scope as needed
