Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Kodiak, AK 99615

Start Date: December 21, 2026

Location: Kodiak, Alaska

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, variable day and night shifts (07:00 - 19:00 or 19:00 - 07:00). Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period. Weekend coverage required. Flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Highlights:

• Work in a Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital with 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds
• Facility-provided housing included during assignment (1-bedroom apartment, move-in available 72 hours before start)
• Low patient volume with approximately 10 deliveries per month in a 4-bed unit
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Free parking and business casual or any scrub color dress code
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Proficiency in core L&D skills including fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery assistance, postpartum care, newborn assessment, and couplet care
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
