Description
Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Edmonds, WA 98026
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Edmonds, Washington
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), 13-week assignment. Floating to sister facilities may be required as needed. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
Highlights:
- Comprehensive Labor and Delivery experience including LDRP, postpartum, OB triage, antepartum, and normal newborn care
- Opportunity to work with high-risk and low-risk obstetrical patients in a family-centered care environment
- Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with vaginal deliveries in a facility performing 200-300 births per month
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity and patient needs
- Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
- One pre-approved time off period available during the contract
Requirements:
- Active Washington State RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery, LDRP, postpartum, and newborn care
- Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring, NRP
- Preferred certification: ACLS
- Proficiency in adult IV starts, blood/blood product administration, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, insulin and magnesium sulfate administration
- Experience with circulating for cesarean sections, high-risk antepartum care, and couplet care
- Competency in triage of obstetrical patients, sterile vaginal exams, IUPC placement and calibration, and central line maintenance
- Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
- Clean background check required; no exceptions for background findings
- Must be separated from any affiliated permanent employment for at least 3 months prior to assignment
