Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. 36-40 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ deliveries per month and 31 beds
• Comprehensive perinatal services including 4 operating rooms for cesarean sections and high-risk deliveries
• Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience and qualifications
• 6-month assignment with competitive compensation and scheduling flexibility for pre-approved time off (case-by-case basis)

Requirements:

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required; high-risk experience mandatory
• Epic charting system experience required (hard stop); electronic fetal monitoring proficiency essential
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery, providing complete newborn care including eyes and Vitamin K injections, thigh injections, and comprehensive newborn assessments (hard stop requirement)
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (hard stop requirement)
• Experience with high-risk, fast-paced environments; patient ratio experience of 1-2 patients
• Willingness to float to Postpartum/Antepartum units and potentially to sister facilities for Mother/Baby care
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
