Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Seattle, WA 98122

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Seattle, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 550+ births per month and 31 private rooms
• Comprehensive perinatal services including 4 operating rooms for cesarean sections and high-risk deliveries
• Serve diverse patient populations including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery
• Function as Baby Nurse during deliveries, providing complete newborn care including assessments, eye prophylaxis, and vitamin K administration
• Circulate for cesarean sections in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with full interdisciplinary support
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience; 13-week assignment with 40 hours of orientation

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required; ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Epic charting system experience required (hard stop); electronic fetal monitoring experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
• Must be able to function as Baby Nurse during deliveries and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections
• Experience with newborn assessments, eye prophylaxis, and vitamin K injections (thigh administration) required
• Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Mother/Baby care
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
